Hello everyone! My name is Simran Johal, and I am thrilled to be one of the Co-Presidents of 2021/2022 CJPP Society. I’m currently a third year CJPP student with a minor in political science. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend law school, and pursue a career as a lawyer. During this year I look forward to hosting events and activities that are appealing to UoG students. I’m excited to meet other individuals who share an interest in the field of law, and to create an enticing environment for students throughout this school year.
My name is Yana Kochetova and I am in my 5th year of the Criminal Justice and Public Policy program with a minor in Sociology. I am excited to be one of the Co-Presidents for the CJPP Society 2021-2022 Executive Team. In the future, I hope to attend law school to pursue a career in environmental law. As for right now, I cannot wait for what this year has to offer, and I look forward to all upcoming CJPP events and getting to meet other CJPP students!

Hey everyone! My name is Evan Raymond, and I am currently in my 5th year here at the University of Guelph with a major in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and a minor in Political Science. I will be one of this year's Vice-Presidents, and I'm excited to collaborate with all others in the CJPP Society to make this unique year a little better for students. Postgrad, I hope to attend law school.
Hello everyone! My name is Rojean Pirhosseinlou and I am in my fourth year of completing a double major in CJPP and Political Science. I am very excited to be one of your Vice Presidents for the 2021/2022 school year! This will be my third year on the CJPP exec team and I look forward to meeting you all at the events we have planned. After graduating from UofG, I hope to be completing a master's in Critical Disability Studies for a year, then pursue law school. I hope to see you all at our events and please feel free to reach out for any support or ideas that you may have! Have a great year everyone :)

I’m a fourth year CJPP student, i’m also minoring in Family Studies and once i graduate i’d like to get a masters in Social Work. Hey All! My Name is Carter Bray and I will be acting as the CJPP Society's Activities Officer for the 2021-22 Academic Year! I am a 3rd year CJPP Student also doing a minor in Neuroscience and this is my 2nd year as an exec with the society! I have a keen interest in policy writing and analysis, hoping to work for a policy firm once I am finished at Guelph. I look forward to organizing and planning events that are both social and informative this year!

Hi everyone, my name is Alex Fleming and I am one of the CSAHS reps for this year! I’m in my fourth-year majoring in CJPP with minors in Business and Economics and have enjoyed every minute of experiencing the CJPP program. Let's have a great year!
My name is Jocelyn Prieur and I’m one of the two CSAHS Board Reps! I’m in my fourth year studying CJPP and Philosophy, and I absolutely love my programs! When I’m not studying or participating in activities, I’m working full time as a manager at McDonalds! A little fun fact about me is: I love skateboarding, and I can breakdance.
I love my position, as it is not incredibly time consuming, but definitely worthwhile. I attend bi-weekly CSHAS Board Meeting and relay the information back to the CJPP Society. The information pertains to other clubs events, CSHAS elections, various activities on campus, etc.

First Year Representatives
Myah Robinson
My name is Myah Robinson and I am in my 1st year of the Criminal Justice and Public Policy program with a minor in Political Science. I am one of the First Year Reps for the CJPP Society 2021-2022 Executive Team. As a First Year Rep, I look forward to acting as a liaison between the CJPP society and other 1st year students. I will work to amplify the goals and interests of first year students to the CJPP society. I am passionate about criminal justice, coffee, and all things organization. After my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend law school and pursue a career in international law. Here’s to a great year of events and learning!

Hi everyone! We’re your second-year representatives, Julia and Maya. Our role is to hear from second year students and relay their ideas to the rest of the team. We help advertise and spread the word to fellow students on events and opportunities the CJPP team has planned and organized throughout the year. We’re always here to ask questions and offer advice if needed and don’t be shy to share any ideas you might have to make this year great. Third Year Representatives
Mercedes Oada & Adam Frankel
Hello! My name is Mercedes Oada, and I am in my third year of the Criminal Justice and Public Policy (CJPP) program, with a double minor in French and Sociology. I work as a Residence Assistant (RA) on campus, in Johnston Hall. This year I’m living in the CJPP cluster so I get to support first year CJPP students, both, academically and emotionally! In my first year I was a general member of The CJPP Society and enjoyed it so much I wanted to become a part of the executive team. In my second year I had the pleasure of being the Second year Representative for the CJPP society. This year I am excited to come back as one of the two Third Year Representatives. In my role, I hope to act as the voice of third-year CJPP students. This includes hearing their requests and relaying them to the CJPP Society so that we can cater our events to the needs of the students. Additionally, I will promote upcoming events and opportunities so that everyone has a chance to get involved! It has been awesome working alongside a supportive team of execs and I look forward to another great year on The CJPP Society!
Hey! My name is Adam Frankel and I am a 3rd-year rep for the CJPP society! I am extremely interested in policing and the criminal justice system and that has been my area of study throughout my degree! Interestingly enough, I also minor in mathematics!

Savanna Cronk
Hello everyone! My name is Savanna Cronk, and I am currently in my 4th year at the University of Guelph, with a major in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, and a minor in Philosophy. This is my first year being a part of the team and I will be both the 4th year representative, and the clothing representative. My positions will allow me to connect with fellow students and help generate more participation within our CJPP society. After my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend law school and pursue a legal career as a crown attorney. With this year’s executive team, I look forward to providing amazing events for the students to enjoy. I am so excited for what this year has to offer!
Fourth Year Representative
Emily Ferrarella
My name is Emily Ferrarella and I’m a 4th year student in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. This is my second year as part of the executive team and I’m excited to be your fourth-year rep and hopefully get to see everyone in person for the most part this year! As fourth-year representative my goal is to connect with fellow CJPP students and spread awareness about the amazing events that we run! If you know me from last year, you will know that I trained a Lions Foundation Guide Dog named Cameron. He finally went into Dog Guide University and is currently formally training to be a Service Dog. With that being said, I can’t wait to meet you all and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi everyone! My name is Evelyn and I’m the Crime Stoppers Representative for the CJPP Society. I’m currently in my 3rd year, majoring in CJPP and minoring in History. This is my first year on the CJPP Society and I’m super excited to be a part of such a great organization. This summer, I had the opportunity to work as a summer student for the Attorney General and rotated throughout all of the Toronto courthouses. This experience gave me an even deeper love of CJPP and helped me put some of my course learning into action! After university, I plan on attending college for Comedy Writing. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

Hi everyone! My name is Paola Bianca, I am in my fourth year of the CJPP program. At University of Guelph, I work as a Residence Assistant this year in East Village and have been an RA for three years. In my first year, I was a general member of the CJPP society, and it was through all the meetings and events that I realized I wanted to take on a more serious role. I had so much fun participating, and with these last three years I was able to help other students have great experiences just like I did. With the secretary position, I want to help every student have their own voice, and I am determined to help represent your interests by observing and participating in team meetings where we work to facilitate CJPP related events. I am excited to be able to continue working with the CJPP society during my last year here at Guelph!
Hi all! My name is Phoebe Corless (she/her) and I am in my fourth year of the CJPP program. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I plan to go to law school and pursue a career in the legal field. This is my first year as an executive member of the CJPP Society, and I am super excited to be working with our great team as a secretary. I look forward to everything the Society has to offer this semester and meeting other students in our program!

Hey everyone! My name is Maxine Halliday and I am one of this years Academic Advisory Board Representatived for the CJPP society! I’m a fourth year CJPP student. After I graduate I hope to attend law school and pursue criminal law! I cant wait to work with the rest of the CJPP society and make the most of all this year has to offer.
I'm 20 years old and a second year CJPP student. I was born in Guelph and raised here my whole life. I love hockey and rugby and I was fortunate enough to get a spot to play on the u of g men's rugby team. My favourite spot is my cottage located on Georgian bay. If I'm not in Guelph I'm up there!
